now the fricking UNM has suspended her. it’s not a foul if the ref doesn’t call it.

    better footage here - http://footballfashion.wordpress.com/2009/11/06/video-an-enforcer-is-born-at-the-university-of-new-mexico/

Matt, it doesn’t matter whether the ref sees it. It’s a foul. There should be a lengthy ban

It’s sad that a player such as Elizabeth Lambert has only been suspended after the brutal assault, she is blessed she did not break Kassidy Shumway’s neck. If I were Kassidy Shumway I would press charges of assault and battery- if Elizabeth Lambert is this brutal in a sports game, how is she as a person in her daily life as a student ? Does Lambert throw punches, pull hair when she gets a bad grade ? Is she going to assault the next person who looks at her the wrong way ? The real question is Elizabeth Lambert is a bully and a bully turns into an abuser as an adult, is Elizabeth Lambert on her way to becoming a life long abuser ? Lambert needs to be counseled in anger management classes before she kills someone…she is an angry violent person that needs help !

Hey, I could use a bird like this on my co-ed squad. I’ve already got a butcher, but this one makes mine look like an angel.

Anyone who has ever played sports with birds knows that, unlike the guys, who know the unspoken code to not bring outside stress to the pitch and are there to get away from it, birds take out their issues on the pitch and on whomever is there.

Not wholly unlike the tobacco companies running anti-smoking ads, the self-proclaimed “world wide leader” glorifies this behavior by airing it (including two slo-mo shots of the hair pull). None of us need to be reminded that this behavior is borderline heinous, but we’ve now seen that at least one player (pretty much) got away with it for 90 minutes (the booking was for a comparatively light offense).

Not that I’d feel sorry for either of the BYU birds. Shumway didn’t forget to embellish on that hair pull; it surely had Drogba practicing in the mirror. They baited her, so they have to accept the reaction.

Disregarding the cheap shots, Lambert committed at least two red card-able offenses during play. That the referee let those go no doubt spurred her on.

And, certainly not least, to paraphrase from the above, if this bird is so brutal in a football match, imagine what a tiger she must be in the bedroom (or all over the house, for that matter)?
