In Rafa we trust?

The Spoiler

Debrecen 0-1 Liverpool

Rafa Benitez

Well, the good news is that a full strength Liverpool must surely be a good bet for the Europa League. The bad news is that it wasn’t the most convincing win that saw them slump out of the Champions League, as Lyon failed to do them any favours in Italy.

They battled hard, but any rousing finish to the campaign was scuppered by a couple of rather strange Benitez substitutions. Once again, the forgotten man, Aquilani, was left on the bench until the last thirty seconds - when he came on for Gerrard.

And when Benayoun was unleashed to add a bit of creative flair, it was in the place of the goal scorer Ngog - a player who appears to be growing in confidence with every game.

Realistically, the best that can come of the season now would be a top four finish. It would have been an unthinkable position for the side to be in just a couple of short months ago. Which begs the question - should the fans still trust in Rafa? Let us know with a vote and a comment.

Wow…a spoiler late edition, rubbing salt into the wounds huh, sorry liverpool fans, Maybe it can’t get worse as benitez was 100% sure you will be back in the top 4 when sky asked him.

One thing I don’t get though is that most of the matches take place on weekends, where are you guys with the latest news then? We would your presence on weekends :)

Lastly, when you are put up a poll where you can select all three choices, you don’t really get accurate readings.

    Tone,
As a Manchester United supporter i though i would cut you some slack as it must be a bitter night for you lot.

Calm down mate, it is part of football, your fans would do exactly the same if it was MANCHESTER UNITED or Chelsea.

Better luck next time and stop blaming others for your failures, it is benitez who picks the team and the player who didn’t perform…not opposition supporter.

    And the people voting are..?

A - Wankers who support Chelsea and United.

B - Fickle fair-weather ‘Pool fans from nowhere near Liverpool.

C - All of the above.

Talk to people in Liverpool. Here Benitez is still trusted. I’m sick of reading the views of gobshite, glory hunters and no-nothing ‘fans’ from the four corners of the globe.

Every team has disasters. It’s how you conduct yourself when these disasters come that shows what you’re made of. Onward and upward.

YNWA & In Rafa We Still Trust.

Cut me some slack? Get to f**k.

You’re a Manchester United ’supporter’ are you? Where are you from? London? Surrey? Norfolk? Pull the other one, lad, it’s got brass bells on.

Where did I blame others for our failures? I said I was sick of reading toss comments from wankers like you. I didn’t say anything about our performances.

Let’s look at the facts - we’ve been 8 first team players down for at least 6 games and it’s shown. But we still beat your shower of shite.

I wondered how much ground would be got out of that old image.

It’s done the rounds about 2 dozen times in various incarnations already. Is because there’s only one Manc smart enough to work Photoshop that you have to wring it for as much ‘fun’ as possible.

    Lazy.

    @Toeail
Why do you care where I am from? f**k you, its none of your f***ing business. Is that the only thing you can call on when your club is in sh*t.

Spouting shite about other people when your own club has a clown in charge, ..keep supporting Rafa, he still wont get you the premiere league trophy..or any for that matter unless you are now eagerly awaiting playing “Europa” league on channel 5 on cold Thursday evenings :)

Your only chance of seeing a trophy might be a entry into your laughable website competition (http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N166363091105-1655.htm) , you might be out of luck as all of rafa squad have applied, it might be their only chance to ever touch a PL trophy

if that doesn’t work out… just ask Ryan Giggs..he has lifted 11 of them.

Everyone has injuries, blaming that for your failingS is bullsh*t, if your crappy manager didn’t have adequate replacments for stevie me and miss torres its his OWN fault.

Now piss off you f***ing dipper. AS THE SAY YNWA = YOU’LL NEVER WIN ANYTHING

  • 8 Tone // Nov 25, 2009 at 2:56 pm

Ask any Manure fan where they’re from and they side-step the question. Why? ‘cos none of the bastards come from anywhere near Manchester. Mancs support City, soft little shites from everywhere else support United.

As for the dipper comment..keep reading those fan sites and trying to play at being a supporter. Laughing stock.

Feed the scousers, let them know it’s Christmas time. A great start to the seasons that was supposed to be theirs.

  • 11 DarkKnight2 // Nov 25, 2009 at 3:24 pm

    Toenail…

What about all the other people who are not from liverpool that support your club? I am sure most of them haven’t set a foot in liverpool you deluded cunt.

I will support whoever the fuck I want, maybe they you look at your poor choice but i guess it must be in the dipper blood.

  • 12 Blue Meanie // Nov 25, 2009 at 9:50 pm

There’s only one Liverpool supporter in the thread.. but at least it’s a proper deluded one.

Don’t worry Tone, In Rafa We Trust too, just in a different way.

And he sure hasn’t let us down. Chin up!

  • 13 Tone // Nov 26, 2009 at 5:07 am

Jealousy will get you nowhere you bitters and chumps.

We’re still singing and we will be at the end of the season too.

DarkKnight - get back to your comics and your fortnam and masons hampers you toy supporter. Stop entering into debates that you can’t win.

Blueshite-Meanie - I have faith because it’s well placed. We’ll see who comes out on top at the end of the season.

  • 14 DarkKnight // Nov 26, 2009 at 11:38 am

What do you mean we will see who comes out top at the end of the season?

you don’t need to wait that long your deluded cunt. your season is already over.

Learn the meaning of the word Jealous. if anything you are jealous of us.

as for toys…the fact that you are going on about the toys you found while bin dipping is shameful.

  • 15 Tone // Nov 27, 2009 at 8:45 am

Us? There you go again! Are you a Manc? No. Shut up about ‘us’ then you backward prick.

And we will see what happens at the end of the season. If anything it’s United and Chelsea that should be wary because now we haven’t got to divide our attentions. We can focus on the Premier League and as any real football fan knows, every team has a dry run EVERY season. Ours is out of the way now.

First team fitness beckons and as we all know, and I know it galls you, when our team is 100% there is not a team in the WORLD to beat us.

So, go back to your comics, toy Manc cunt and stop talking out of your well fucked arse.
