The New Thierry Henry, so they say
The news from the tabloids is that Arsene Wenger is going to spend the summer attempting to lure speedy strikers in the direction of the Emirates, most probably by waving around £15-20 million at their clubs.
According to The Sun, he’s been eyeing up Villa’s Gabi Agbonlahor for a couple of years now, but has always been rather put off by the striker’s inconsistency, which sheds no light whatsoever on what drew him to Nicklas Bendtner.
But the whisper is that if the striker continues to do well, Arsenal might launch a £17 million attack in the summer. He certainly has the right mix of speed and power that appears to float the Frenchman’s onions.
Meanwhile, The Daily Star have named a young monsieur called Loic Remy - currently playing for Nice - as the next big Arsenal swoop. He’s already been dubbed “The New Thierry Henry”, which wasn’t such a massive insult until a couple of weeks ago. Having discussed the North London club with his French pals Sagna and Diaby, he said this:
“They tell me that when you are at Arsenal you want to stay there for your entire career”
So who will Wenger go for? The great English hope? Or someone French? Let us know with a comment.

Considering that the filth are essentially a foreign team with a couple of token brits who never play anyway, I imagine they’ll be shopping overseas.

I’d be shocked if this is true, he’s got Franny Jeffers Mk 2 written all over him. Ask any Villa fan and they’ll gladly point out the frustrating inconsistency of Gab. Perhaps he’s too busy impregnating to worry about minor issues such as form.

Agreed mustard. If Wenger’s going to splash out on a striker expect him to go for someone like this guy.
