Uh oh, MarkBrighty’s in trouble…
With the notable exception of Darius Vassell, anyone who plays/has played professional football should be seriously discouraged from blogging, or tweeting, or Facebooking. Or anything that allows them a platform from which to report their every waking thought/emotion.
Vassell is allowed because the man has an inner beauty, a poetic nature, and anyone yet to experience the emotional underbelly of the striker would be wise to visit his blog (click here). It’s genuinely brilliant.
Mark Bright, on the other hand, should have his thumbs strapped up, because he’s just fallen foul of the Twitter curse that has left a big smudge on football over the last few months.
As reported in today’s Daily Mail, the BBC man has been caught out repeating rude chants about John Terry - in light of his off-field shenanigans with that French underpants model. And he’s raised a few eyebrows by repeating some of the racier jokes surrounding the whole furore (who would do such a thing!!).
As a result, he has been forced to tweet the following apology:
“After 4,362 tweets, 5984 followers, apologies to JT & Bridgy if offended, error of judgement from me, thank u all 4 the banter, im gone.”
Or is he?
