Striker receives unwelcome reception from the club he betrayed
He has won two World Cups, has been top scorer in leagues all over the world and has been voted FIFA World Player of the Year three times, but (Fat) Ronaldo’s legacy will forever be tainted by his love for transsexual prostitutes.
The Corinthians striker wasn’t even playing in Sunday’s clash with Flamengo (he is recovering from his wrist injury and liposuction surgery), but home fans at the legendary Maracanã stadium devoted a large part of their collective energy to belittling the tubby Brazilian. In addition to a fetching pink banner that read “Ronaldo King of the Transvestites”, Flamengo fans sang chants that labelled him “fat” and “queer”.
The Mengão faithful were particularly aggrieved with Ronaldo, who said it would be his “dream” to move
Oasis frontman inflicts his charming personality on Spurs fans
Lacking the rapier wit of his older brother Noel, Liam Gallagher found an alternative way to communicate with football fans on Saturday.
The Oasis star and his untalented sibling Paul found themselves in an executive box at White Hart Lane to watch their beloved Manchester City, where they were subjected to abuse from the home supporters. “You’re just a shit Chas & Dave,” sang the Spurs fans below the box.
When Manchester City scored their 65th minute equaliser, Gallagher was quick to retaliate with some rather unfriendly hand gestures. At that point, a member of Spurs security staff stepped in:
A Tottenham source said: “Fans started getting a bit heated so a security official went to have a word with him. It was precautionary. He wasn’t chucked out and carried on watching from his box.”
Understandably, Gallagher wasn’t quite as piqued when Tottenham scored their 86th minute winner.
Has Chelsea star become Die Mannschaft’s whipping boy?
Poor old Michael Ballack. Not only was his sovereignty as Germany captain questioned by happy slapper Lukas Podolski, but his personal space has also been invaded by Crouch-alike defender Per Mertesacker.

Liverpool fans and gobby tramps give C-Ron a rough ride
The video above, spotted by the handsome devils at Dirty Tackle, shows Cristiano Ronaldo returning home from the Liverpool game in his Bentley Continental GT. The tricky winger was obviously in need of some time to contemplate who he would have sex with that night the heavy defeat, but instead received some rather sweary insults from some travelling Liverpool fans.
As if this incident wasn’t traumatic enough, the Portuguese star received more abuse yesterday while out and about in his sexy motor. According to The Sun, the millionaire footballer ignored a Big Issue seller while hopping into his £150,000 car. Said vagrant obviously believed it was his god given right to receive money from Ronaldo, and acted accordingly:
The vendor swore at the Man United star, 24 - challenging him to get out and fight.
A witness in Manchester city centre said: “He gobbed all over the windscreen. Ronaldo was obviously seething.
Gone are the days when a racist and homophobic football fan could hide behind the anonymity of a crowd - Police are actively seeking sixteen Tottenham fans who turned up at Fratton Park in September to watch their side lose 2-0. The supporters have been singled out for singing a chant at Sol Campbell which implied mental illness, and also carried strong tones of racism, anti-semitism and homophobia (we’re not interested in publishing it, but it is here if you simply must read it). The police are trying to make an example of the offenders by publishing snaps of them. The Sun reports:
A disgusted police officer took photos of 16 yobs involved in the chant at Portsmouth.
Now cops have decided to hunt them down.
They face a fine of up to £1,000 if convicted. A court could also impose an order which would ban them from any ground in Britain for up to ten years.
Superintendent Neil Sherrington, of Hampshire Police, said: “We have identified 16 people we would like to speak to. Our inquiry is aimed at putting before the court those individuals who engaged in unacceptable behaviour.
“I would regard this abuse as intolerable in any forum - the excuse that it was at a football match is not a valid one.”
Should supporters be allowed to give players the kind of abuse that would result in arrest outside of a football stadium? Is it fair to single out sixteen supporters when there were probably an awful lot more abusing Campbell? Let us know…
Drogba’s coin incident sees footballers turn on mean supporters
Following Didier Drogba’s over-zealous spare change distribution earlier this week, a number of stars past and present asked the FA and police to focus their attentions on the Burnley fan who originally threw the coin. Lampsie told Sky Sports:
“But if Didier gets banned, are fans going to do this more to provoke people? Who knows?
“I take quite a lot of corners and it’s not unusual to get things thrown at you and lots of abuse, too, and I think it’s got to a stage now where it’s got to stop.”
Tony Cascarino and Ian Wright have also pointed their finger squarely at the anonymous offending fan, who is undoubtedly delighted with the furor he has created.
Obviously, no one can condone the throwing of missiles onto the pitch, but in an age where respect is so high on the agenda, should fans have the right to verbally abuse and taunt players? Yes, we pay money to get behind our team and belittle the opposition, but some of the stuff that is shouted from the stands would definitely result in legal action if it were said on the street.
So, is fan abuse all part of the game, or is it something that incites unnecessary violence, ruins the game for families and creates an unsporting atmosphere? Votes and comments below, please…
In news that will undoubtedly rock the foundations of the football community, Craig Bellamy has been accused of abusing a female fan during last night’s 5-3 friendly win over Ipswich:
Bellamy was substituted with a leg injury halfway through the first half and, as he limped off, the £7million star became embroiled in a war of words.
The fan instantly reported the player’s outburst to a nearby police officer. Suffolk police spokesman Mark Norman said: “Officials of Ipswich and West Ham are both aware that an incident has taken place.” It overshadowed a thrilling night of football at Portman Road.
Allegedly the striker, who has already been in trouble with the fuzz in the closed season for going to town on a charity worker, was goaded by a female fan as he left the field. He said: “F*cking Ipswich prostitutes.” It’s very easy to lambast the tattooed Welshman for his outburst, but that’s quite a witty off-the-cuff retort for a man with whose idea of a good time is racially aggravated assault.
