A further helping of transfer gossip, rumours and damned lies

Ricardo Carvalho and Deco to Inter Milan
The biggest transfer news of a very slow day comes from Italy’s Sky Sport 24, who claim that Chelsea do not want Nicolas Burdisso or Maicon in exchange for Jose Mourinho’s good friends Deco and Ricardo Carvalho and are instead holding out for around £12 million for the pair.
The Spoiler truth-o-meter: Maicon’s agent Antonio Caliendo says that he expects his client to stay put this summer so it would make sense for Chelsea to take as much money as they can and shop elsewhere.

Even more transfer gossip, rumours and damned lies

Karim Benzema to Manchester United
The French striker’s agent Karim Djaziri revealed that Sir Alex Ferguson wants to sign his client this summer. Just last week, Djaziri was quoted as saying that Benzema was happy to stay with the Ligue 1 club for another year.
The Spoiler Truth-o-meter: Djaziri doesn’t expect Lyon to demand more than 40 million euros but the French side are in a great bargaining position as they know that the Red Devils have plenty to spend and need a striker.
Michael Owen to Hull
Phil Brown has confirmed that he was deadly serious about trying to sign Owen after his Newcastle contract expires next week. He said: “Hopefully Michael

Serbian is sticking with the rain and “joyless fans” of Manchester

Nemanja Vidic has made no secret of his opinions concerning dirty smelly rainy miserable Manchester, but rumours of a summer switch to slightly-less-rainy Milan are a load of crap, according to his agent.
When asked about the reported £20m transfer, Silvano Martina told Goal.com:
“No way, this is just some crazy rubbish”
“I have already spoken with the journalist who wrote the article and explained that there is no truth in this report.
“Vidic loves it in Manchester and will stay put.”
It looks as if Milan will have to look elsewhere to bolster their defence for 2009/10, as Alessandro Nesta and 412-year-old captain Paolo Maldini look set to call it a day.

WAG of the Day
The agent, model and WAG who hates pants

While football agents in Britain don’t get much more attractive than, er, Eric Hall, it’s a very different story in Romania. Ana Maria Prodan is the country’s first female FIFA-licensed agent, whose books have included hunky narcotics fan Adrian Mutu.
She is currently stepping out with Laurenţiu Reghecampf, a Romanian midfielder currently making ends meet at FC Kaiserslautern.

Agent suggests winger still wants out of Manchester

After the painfully botched Real Madrid summer transfer saga and subsequent (and thoroughly unconvincing) statement of commitment to Manchester Utd, reports in the Italian press suggest Cristiano Ronaldo now wants a move to Inter Milan.
C-Ron’s shit-stirring agent Jorge Mendes - who also looks after The Special One - has told Inter his client still wants to leave Manchester. Ronaldo is also said to be “fascinated” by the prospect of working with Mourinho.
