Finally, Chelsea release an official basketball shoe

Well it’s about damn time

The Adidas TS Commander LT

In their latest bid to increase their following in Americaland, Chelsea have produced an official basketball shoe.

The adidas TS Commander LT - which comes with a free scarf and Chelsea shirt - drops on August 29, but will only be available at a retailer named Bodega. They’re based in Boston, where NBA star and Chelsea fan Kevin Garnett plies his trade.

WAG No. 338: Carmen Electra

A basketball WAG, albeit a very short-lived one

Carmen Electra

Carmen Electra is known for her inexplicable marriage to rock goblin Dave Navarro, as the couple documented their doomed relationship in front of MTV’s cameras. Prior to meeting the Jane’s Addiction axeman, the Baywatch star was a basketball WAG, thanks to her marriage to gigantic nutter Dennis Rodman in a “state of intoxication”. Their holy union lasted just ten days, or, depending on how you look at it, until the point when they sobered up.

Has Shaquille O’Neal been listening to Ben Foster’s iPod?

Basketball legend perfects penalty saving technique

Ben Foster was able to save Jamie O’Hara’s penalty in yesterday’s Carling Cup final after he watched footage of Tottenham spot kicks on Manchester Utd goalkeeping coach Eric Steele’s iPod. Presumably, 7ft 1in basketball star Shaquille O’Neal has also had access to the magical mp3 player.

Spoiler bonus: Shaq isn’t the only b’baller with mad football skills

WAG No. 181: La La Vazquez

The basketball supporting lady with the craziest name in the game

La La Vazquez

New York DJ, VJ and film star Alani Vazquez is better known in her home nation by the name ‘La La’, presumably due to a fondness for a little-known Ashlee Simpson song. La La appeared in the Sports Illustrated 2008 Players’ Wives section for her engagement to basketball player Carmelo Anthony. Despit being 6′8″, he plays as a ’small forward’ for the Denver Nuggets, the team owned by Arsenal board member Stan Kroenke.
