The folks at Playboy magazine have been electing a ‘Playmate of the Year’ since 1960, meaning there are some 49 all-American ladies whose love lives have inevitably featured a professional sportsman in some capacity. One such beauty is 2001 Playmate of the Year Brande Roderick, who married former NFL Linebacker Glenn Cardez in 2007. You may recognise her from Baywatch, Starsky & Hutch and if you’re super cool, Beverly Hills 90210.

If you were watching 2003 Steven Seagal/Ja Rule classic Half Past Dead very closely, you may have seen today’s WAG Yasmina Filali flaunting her wares. The actress and model is popular in her native Germany, where she gained notoriety playing a stripper in TV series Die Rote Meile (‘The Red Mile’). She found her way into several other TV shows, helped by SAT.1 Chief Exec boyfriend Fred Kogel, but eventually left her well-connected partner to marry ex-Sunderland and Euro 96 winning defender Thomas Helmer.

Venezuela’s hottest export has an Inter Milan toy boy

If there is one country in the world today that has its priorities straight, it is Venezuela. Up until recently, children of the South American nation could enjoy an episode of The Simpsons on the Televen TV channel before trotting off to school. Television authorities, however, have pulled the show, deeming it to be ‘inappropriate for adolescents’. Instead, they have replaced it with a show much more suited to the demographic - Baywatch. High five, television authorities! It is this unrelenting support of beautiful women in seaside locations that has allowed 27-year-old model Keyla Espinoza to find fame and fortune, and also a young Inter Milan footballer named Mario Ballotelli.
