Chancer pounces on Mr B’s naivety to experience high life
It’s easy to watch an entire episode of Entourage and wonder what, if anything, actually happened, so David Beckham can be forgiven for his recent mistaken identity faux pas on the celeb circuit. According to the New York Daily News, a cheeky chap took advantage of the LA Galaxy star’s good nature and blagged his way into an evening of free drinking surrounded by bling and ladies with artificial chests:
David Beckham was happy to meet “Entourage” actor Rex Lee at Jermaine Dupri’s birthday bash in Chicago. The only problem? “It wasn’t the real Rex Lee,” laughed a spy, “and Becks brought him into the VIP area and spent the whole night drinking with him!” Beckham’s rep denied the incident occurred.
The man who passed himself off as Ari Gold’s downtrodden assistant undoubtedly caught Beckham at a bad time: he was in Chicago helping the Galaxy lose 3-1 to the Fire, leaving them seventh in the Western Conference. Things wouldn’t be so bad if there were more than seven teams in the division.
Spoiler bonus: Read Mr B’s musings on the Chicago trip on his oft-entertaining personal blog.
