Blonde beauty drops a pregnancy-based bombshell on Deutschland

Julia Gödecke came to The Spoiler’s attention thanks to her long-term relationship with Hamburger SV star Marcell Jansen. The former Miss Munich, however, split from Jansen in late 2008, soon after he left Bayern Munich for his current club. Shortly after they parted ways, however, Julia announced that she was pregnant, but kept the identity of the father a closely guarded secret.

Most people expected Mr Jansen to be applauded for his baby-making abilities, but the 25-year-old beauty yesterday revealed that the father is in fact Real Madrid’s Christoph Metzelder.

Dutchman forced to participate in over zealous goal celebrations

Since moving to Spain in January, Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has felt a little unsettled. Perhaps it has something to do with the manner in which his team mates celebrate goals. He scored twice at the San Mames stadium last week - lord only knows what Christoph Metzelder and Wesley Sneijder would have done if he had bagged a hat-trick.

German TV personality whose surname is almost rude

At this point in the history of WAG of the Day, the Germans are an overlooked people: to my knowledge, only Sarah Brandner - girlfriend of the recently disgraced Bastian Schweinsteiger - represents them. Well, die Deutschen may be proud to see their WAG count doubled today, as model, popstar and TV presenter Annemarie Warnkross joins the list. If she hadn’t recently left him for a German soapstar, she’d be with Germany and Real Madrid defender Christoph Metzelder, probably trying to comfort him through his nation’s mixed Euro 2008 fortunes.
