Man Utd denied highly inventive opener in Sunday title clash
Manchester Utd pushed into third place yesterday after completely drinking Chelsea milkshake at Old Trafford, and one of the major talking points was Cristiano Ronaldo’s disallowed goal.
In a cheeky move taken straight from the training ground, Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giigs combined to fool the Chelsea defence. However, assistant referee Darren Cann took a novel approach to the rules of the game by ruling out this perfectly legal move.
If Chelsea hadn’t rolled over and let Manchester Utd tickle their proverbial belly, we definitely would have heard a lot more bleating about this from Mr Ferguson..
