STAYING IN M'LORD
Eastenders viewing figures not under threat this evening

Tranmere Rovers vs. Stockport County (7.45pm, Sky Sports 1)
Tranmere play their first game without the recently sacked John Barnes, as club physio Les Parry attempts a Nigel Adkins by trading the magic sponge for the tactics board in the guise of caretaker boss.
Both sides have struggled of late: the hosts have just one win in their last 11 while Stockport have won just once on the road in the league since February. Stockport sit 20th in the table and Tranmere occupy 22nd, making it a potential six pointer for the relegation candidates.
Oldham Ath Reserves vs. Manchester Utd Reserves (7pm, MUTV)
United reserves are looking to defend the Manchester Senior Cup for the third year running and tonight come up against Oldham. On paper, it may not sound like the most riveting

Los Blancos and Red Devils see off inferior opponents
Shamrock Rovers 0/ Real Madrid 1
Those who were expecting the world’s most expensive player to set the world alight on his Real Madrid debut were fairly disappointed. Cristiano Ronaldo plodded around for 45minutes before being subbed and admitting that he is “not yet 100 percent fit”. Los Blancos looked as if they would leave Dublin empty handed before Karim Benzema banged in a late one.
Malaysia XI 0/ Manchester Utd 2
The Red Devils were due to play an Indonesian All Star side last night, but in light of the hotel bomb attacks of last week, they ended up facing the exact same Malaysian XI they beat 3-2 at the weekend. Handsome devil Federico Macheda knocked in the first, and Michael Owen was able to take advantage of the laughable Malaysian defending by putting away his second in two games.

WAG of the Day
The Liverpool model with a Manchester Utd toy boy

When we saw this picture, we knew it was only a matter of time before Federico Macheda bagged himself a partner befitting of a rambunctious Manchester Utd star. The Italian has done exactly that, after taking a liking to the Facebook profile picture of model, singer and actress Sophie Larissa Houghton. The couple ‘poked’ one another for a times, and have since enjoyed a string of dates.
The 19-year-old Wirral-based model is now the youngest WAG at Old Trafford, but is still two years older than Kiko.

END OF SEASON REVIEW
“Tek a bow, son(s)”
With the end of the 2008/09 campaign only 24hrs away, The Spoiler takes a look back at the season’s finest goals and reveals our picks for the twenty greatest efforts. Part one documents goals 20-11…
#20: Ryan Taylor - Wigan 2-1 Newcastle, 26/12/08
The only goal we couldn’t get those new-fangled moving pictures for (19 out of 20 aint bad); Ryan Taylor’s free-kick for Wigan against Newcastle was the final straw for the Toon. Their cunning solution to stopping Taylor habitually scoring against them (4 in his last 4 meetings) was to just buy him off the Latics. It was also one of the finest dead ball strikes in what was a relatively lean season for spectacular free-kicks.

Italian ladies man steals the show at Old Trafford

After seeing his side steal a last minute winner against Fulham on Saturday, Rafa Benitez was enjoying his Sunday evening a little more more than usual, thanks to Manchester Utd’s imminent slip-up against Aston Villa. But just when the Spaniard thought he had gained two points on his bitter rivals, a 17-year-old reserve team striker whipped in a fantastic curling winner. “Who is this guy?” asked Benitez, nearly choking on his paella. Here’s The Spoiler’s guide to Manchester Utd’s latest sensation, Federico Macheda:
- Macheda was born in Rome on 22 August, 1991, which makes us feel incredibly old.
- He started his career playing for Lazio, but signed for Utd shortly after his sixteenth birthday.
- After joining the Red Devils in 2007, he became the Under-18 side’s top scorer, with 12 goals in 21 appearances.
- He may use more hair gel than Cristiano Ronaldo.
- On his seventeenth birthday, he signed his first professional contract, and made his way into Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s reserve team.
- Ferguson recently said of him: “The young boy Macheda is progressing
