Six reasons why Arsenal will beat Newcastle


It’s going to be raining tears in Newcastle…

A convincing win over Schteve McClaren’s FC Twente may have settled some Arsenal nerves, but won’t go nearly as far as to detract from their miserable showing at Fulham. Their visitors this weekend, Newcastle, will harbour frightening memories of the Emirates and should find the whole experience a little overwhelming… again. Here’s why:

1. Arsenal have won eight and drawn one of their last nine league and cup contests against Newcastle at home.

2. The sides met three times at the Emirates last season, of which Arsenal won all three, scoring eight times in the process.
