Video: Cheerleader takes a football to the face

Pow! Right in the kisser!

Lesson for us: Try to watch more German football - they have cheerleaders.

Lesson for her: Try to watch more German football - it can be very painful to not pay attention.

German authorities unhappy with Ronaldo’s Madrid transfer

The latest in a long line of Downfall parodies

With the exception of the odd gauche racial slur, this video is a fine representation of the anguish C-Ron’s imminent transfer is causing. Click here for an Arsenal version.

Video: The world’s most awkward interview

American footballer’s media training put to good use

Something tells me Cincinnati Bengals wide Receiver Chad Johnson doesn’t want to be interviewed. Either that, or he cares a little too much for the journalist.

Video: The best comedy moments in football

Get yer daily dose of schadenfreude right here

There’s nothing quite like a hilarious football compilation on a Thursday afternoon. With that in mind, here’s a video spotted on Unprofessional Foul, plenty of which I hadn’t seen before. My personal favourite comes around the minute mark, where Sky’s cameras catch some classic pranking during a warm-down session. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t fall for that one at school.

Enjoy.

Video: How to dive and score simultaneously

Who said cheaters never prosper?

The striker in this video goes down with the kind of theatrical flair that David Ginola used to pull off every single week. The well-coiffed Frenchman, however, never had this kind of freakish luck when he hit the deck.

Video: The best throw-in you’ll ever see

When acrobatic showboating goes wrong

It’s just possible that Petr Cech’s mangled face is the result of one of these bad boys.

While we’re on the subject of hilarious YouTubery, have a butchers at this incredible compilation.

If awards were presented for unfortunate surnames…

This chap would be toast of the town

15680.jpg

Without question, my favourite sports reporter The Arkansas Morning News’ very own Robbie Neiswanger. Not only does he have a rude-sounding surname, but he writes for a website called nwaonline.net, which is strangely devoid of late 80s hip hop news.

Also, he is reporting on a town named Fayetteville. Which could sound a little like ‘Fatville’ in certain accents. Which is funny.

Pictures of Joey Barton in prison

Wondering how the Premier League’s most obnoxious individual is getting on?

15169.jpg

That little scamp Joey Barton has been ringing in the New Year at Her Majesty’s pleasure, but how has he been getting on without his eye-burning cigars and his best fighting jumper? Has he been CS gassed yet? Is he running errands for a large man called Sally? Find out with our exclusive “New Year at Barton’s” snapshot album.
