F1 Scuffle
Here’s why you don’t mess with an angry Finn
Kimi Raikkonen spun off twice during yesterday’s soaking wet British Grand Prix. Some would blame the risky tactical decision that resulted in him losing grip, but I’d like to think it’s all this photographers fault. Look at him, trying to do his job and take photos at a public event. Disgusting.

British GP Preview
chickendinner believe the Swiss driver will top the podium

Last year Hamilton buckled under the weight of expectation thrust upon his shoulders, but right now people are so quick to write him off that they probably think his dad would stand a better chance of winning the race. The lack of expectation will play right into Hamilton’s hands and he will win the British Grand Prix this weekend. Here’s why:
1. Kimi Raikkonen was victorious last year but five different drivers have won the last five British Grands Prix - Rubens Barichello, Michael Schumacher, Juan Pablo Montoya, Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen.
2. The Finn is also on a run of four races without a win and has only even once won the same Grand Prix twice in a row - in Belgium way back in 2005.
3. It won’t be Felipe Massa - he has never finished higher than fifth in five attempts at Silverstone.
4. And it won’t be the BMW’s, who failed to match the Ferraris and McLarens at Silverstone last year. A fortnight ago in France they had their worst result of the season, with neither driver finishing in the top four for the first time - Kubica came fifth and Heidfeld 13th.
5. You can count out Alonso too - the

Money Matter$
Wow, that’s surprising

Sports Illustrated - whose dedication to fiscal issues is almost as great as their dedication to taking pictures of pretty ladies on the beach - have published a list of the twenty highest earning non-American sportsmen. They did this back in February, when David Beckham sat in fifth place with his paltry $29.7m annual fortune. Now, Mr B stands atop the pile with a much more befitting sum:
1. David Beckham (LA Galaxy) $48.2m
2. Kimi Räikkönen (Formula One) $46m
3. Ronaldinho (Barcelona) $37.5m

Formula 1
Spanish Grand Prix, Sunday, 1pm, ITV1, bet here

It is very difficult to even think of Formula One at the moment without setting the words “Nazi orgy” pinging around the brain again, but we shall try. This weekend, Lewis Hamilton returns to the site of his own torment, the Barcelona track where a group of Spaniards thought it would be hilarious to black up and pretend to be Hamilton’s “familly” earlier this year. Who knew they even made racist make-up any more? That stuff’s got to be rarer than wig powder and beauty spots - you’ve got to be really serious about your racism to waste the precious blackface on an F1 testing session. And who knows what the combination of a rustic sense of humour and an irresistible desire to attention seek will bring from the spectators this weekend? Surely not a comedy Kamp Kommandant and his pyjama’d slaves. Please god, not that.
More importantly, if you’re looking to venture a few quid on the outcome, chickendinner reckon it’s not going to be Hamilton’s best Sunday. Here’s why…
1. McLaren have won just one of the last seven Spanish Grands Prix - Ferrari have won five.
2. The McLarens have been much slower than the Ferraris in the last two races - Heikki Kovalainen finished 26.789 seconds behind Felipe Massa in Bahrain, that’s their best yet.
3. A British driver

WAG of the Day
Three guesses for which F1 star this beauty queen is married to…

If you are considering a trip to the Spanish Grand Prix this weekend, please take this advice: don’t go anywhere near Kimi Räikkönen’s wife. Why, you ask? Well, the frighteningly-handsome octane lovers over at Grid Crasher have discovered that the Scandinavian model brings her pet Alsatian to European race meets. The fierce-looking mutt will be riled up by the deafening screech of Formula One cars, so it’s bound to go postal if you even think about invading her personal space. Unless you like the smell of foreign hospitals, you’d be much better off befriending Bernie Ecclestone’s lovely daughter Tamara.
