Kit News
The Citizens channel the seventies in their latest shirt design

We rather like the black and yellow second choice Manchester City kit, and we rather like this one too. Presumably, Etihad are also happy with a diminished version of their logo.
What do you think?

Sexytime
Argentineans realise attractive ladies can be used to sell things

Until this morning, The Spoiler believed that the best way to launch a new kit was via the medium of interpretative dance, but our friends in South America have put paid to that theory.
In celebration of their Primera División victory, Club Atlético Vélez Sársfield held a gala on Monday night. A good time was had by all, particularly those who witnessed a stripper-tastic array of ladies modelling the club’s kits through the ages. We have no idea which design is the new one, but frankly, we don’t really care.

More kit launch hotness after the jump…

Getting Shirty
Nouveau riche side will be back in black next season

Bloody hell, Kolo Toure isn’t wasting any time, is he? He’s barely been at Manchester City 24 hours, but here he is posing in the new away kit with fellow newbies Emmanuel Adebayor and Roque Sat Nav Cruz.
As you can see, the new strip is black and yellow. As you can see by the honeycomb pattern in the background and the huge picture of a wasp/bee on their official site, they’re playing on the fact that this colour combination represents danger in the animal kingdom.
It comes out on the 15th, and The Spoiler rather likes it. Do you?

In The Closet
A fitting, albeit expensive way to pay tribute to US royalty

If there was one thing that Michael Jackson was known for during his short and bizarre life, it was an extraordinary passion for the United States national football team. Hence, Team USA have been quick to release a garment-based tribute to the King of Pop, which can be yours for just $89.95.
The Spoiler can assure its readers that this is not a cynical and rushed attempt to cash in on the death of an international hero - it’s definitely what he would have wanted.

New Kit News
If only Rio had managed to reach the light switch before the picture was taken

The Manchester Utd official site is now taking pre-orders for the new 2009/10 home kit, and they appear to have published a picture of Rio Ferdinand sporting it.
They’ve kindly turned off the lights to keep the £42.99 garment covered up until the glitzy kit launch next week, but our friends at Republik of Mancunia have used some Photoshop witchcraft to bring it out of the darkness:

The wonky club crest and startling similarity to the current strip makes The Spoiler believe this may be a red herring. We hope it is anyway - we quite liked the Jose Bosingwa monobrow prototype design.

New shirt design includes homage to Chelsea right-back

Here’s the latest potential design for Manchester Utd’s 2009/10 home kit. It’s fairly similar to the current shirt, with the exception of the black ‘V’ stripe across the chest, which we believe to be inspired by Jose Bosingwa’s monobrow.
There’s also a version floating around with a white collar…
