If you didn’t happen to see Spurs claw themselves out of the relegation zone yesterday, you missed Darren Ben’s submission for worst miss of the season. Understandably, ‘Arry was not amused.

It was also interesting to see Gareth Bale’s hideous run of form continue. The Welshman’s first Premier League win in a Spurs shirt still eludes him, and yesterday’s outing will do nothing to bolster his confidence: not only did he help David Nugent’s opener sail in, but he was subbed for (out of favour) David Bentley in the second half. Two minutes after he left the pitch, Spurs equalised.
