DJ Pat
“Respect the iPod of Evra”

Now that Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t around to pollute his colleague’s ears with his dire taste in music, Patrice Evra has assumed the role of official Manchester Utd DJ.
The Frenchman spends hours preparing pre-match playlists on his iPod, and his choice of tunes will ring out through Turf Moor’s dilapidated away dressing room tonight. Says Evra:
“I enjoy the role very much. Before the match I sit down in my room and work out a playlist.
“I have to change it every time. You don’t know these guys - they’re like dogs!
“They’re hungry for new songs and get angry if it’s the same stuff as the last game.
“So I mix it up and make sure everybody’s happy. I put some English music, some Brazilian, some R ‘n B, some dance. Now it’s part of the ritual before games.
“Sometimes other people try to put their own music on - I don’t want to name names - but my team-mates say ‘Come on, respect the iPod of Evra’.”
We’d love to know which players have dared to cross Evra by playing their own music. Has Rooney tried to blast some Stereophonics? Maybe Federico Macheda requested some sexy disco music? Perhaps Dimitar Berbatov has tried to sneak on some Bulgarian power ballads?

Mad Fer It Update
Portuguese star “can’t afford” the Manchester band

Yesterday, Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo revealed that he is a huge Oasis fan, and even went as far as saying the Manchester City-supporting rockers were even better than the Beatles.
Ronny would like to see the band play in concert, but is evidently not too keen on sharing an arena with people who are not fabulously wealthy, famous or prostitutes. Hence, he offered the band tickets to El Clásico in exchange for a ‘private concert’.
At last night’s iTunes Festival gig at the Roundhouse, Oasis head honcho Noel Gallagher was delighted to hear that C-Ron’s iPod contains more than Phil Collins and Sade:

Portuguese star loves Manchester City’s most famous fans
Much like Cristiano Ronaldo, Noel and Liam Gallagher aren’t famed for their modesty. Yet the swaggering Oasis stars would happily admit that their band is immensely inferior to their biggest influence and primary source of material, The Beatles.
The Real Madrid winger and pop aficionado, however, believes the Manchester band are actually better than the Fab Four:
“Liverpool have The Beatles and Manchester have Oasis. I think we (Manchester) have the better band.
“I have all the Oasis albums [Even Standing on the Shoulder of Giants? Seriously? - Ed.] but my favourite track by far is Champagne Supernova. It’s an absolute classic.
“One thing I will miss about Manchester is Oasis.
“I will be honest, I didn’t even know who they were when I first arrived in Manchester, but you can’t live there long without knowing who they are.
“The lads in the dressing room loved them, especially the English boys.
“When I came to England I was into my techno, but I think Oasis are one of my favourite bands now.”
The Spoiler is a big Oasis fan, but to suggest they are better than The Beatles is a bit like saying a light bulb is better than the sun, or that an MK Dons supporter is better than a fan of a proper team that wasn’t unlawfully pillaged from elsewhere. Perhaps the tricky winger - who has already proved his exceptional taste in music - is merely trying to wind up Merseyside.
Such is his love of the Brit rockers, Ronaldo even proposed

WAG of the Day
Stripper, model, singer and Brazilian legend romancer

In 1994, Brazilian striker Romario was on top of the world: he was FIFA World Player of the Year, he won the World Cup and he finsihed the 1993/94 season as Barcelona’s top scorer. As one may expect of a footballer in his position, the Brazilian also did rather well with the ladies. He started a relationship with Sonia Monroy after admiring her work as a stripper, but they split soon after she claimed she was pregnant with his child.

Manchester Utd star treats his stereo to some fine tunes

We know that Cristiano Ronaldo has exceptional taste in fashion (ooh chic) and women (mmm classy, ahhh manly), so it is only fitting that his music collection is cooler than a polar bear in skinny jeans watching Skins.
A few weeks ago the tricky winger told us he enjoys Phil Collins, Elton John and Sade, and in this Morning’s Sun, yet more musical gems have been revealed. One of his favourite artists is a man who also happens to acquiesce to C-Ron’s fashion sensibilities:
The Man United ace has all RICKY MARTIN’s albums and admits his top track by the Latin hip-swiveller is cheesy No1 single Livin’ La Vida Loca.
Ron says: “Ricky’s tunes are very catchy. Livin’ La Vida Loca is his most catchy by far and it is my most favourite.”
It has become increasingly clear that the Portuguese haven’t been exposed to music produced after 1999, as his favourite song of all time comes from the film Space Jam:
In equally sad style, Ron also loves R&B star R. KELLY’s
