Picture: Cristiano Ronaldo in the new Manchester Utd 2009/10 home kit

Portuguese pictured in shirt he won’t wear next season

Cristiano Ronaldo

There’s probably more chance of seeing Harry Redknapp in a tutu than Cristiano Ronaldo in a Manchester Utd shirt next season, but nevertheless, the picture above is claimed to be a legitimate leak from Nike’s website.

The kit on display here is the same as the Jose Bosingwa monobrow design we showed you two weeks ago, and is said to be a homage to the 1909 shirt, which carried a white ‘V’ accross the chest.

Looks like a bit of creative photoshoppery to us - what do you think?

Video: Xabi Alonso wears Liverpool’s 2009/10 away kit at the training ground

Spaniard plays a spot of football golf Pepe Reina

A certain German sportswear manufacturer is promoting its new kit designs with a series of viral videos from various Premier League training grounds: last week we saw Michael Ballack wearing Chelsea’s new Robocop-themed home shirt, and now we see Xabi Alonso sporting Liverpool’s new away strip.

We’re not too keen on the Chelsea kit, but do like the Liverpool one - particularly how the shoulder stripes go right up to the neckline. It’s a definite improvement on the prototype we showed you in March.

Are Manchester City fans getting fatter?

New kit designed for the ‘thinly-challenged’

Manchester City Fat

The cunning marketing folk at Manchester City have come up with an ingenious euphemism for ’suitable for fat bastards’, by claiming their shirts are ‘more generous’. It’s a shame Ronaldinho didn’t sign on, he definitely would have appreciated this.
