Picture of the Day
Is that chicken? We hope that’s chicken

Unsubstantiated rumours suggest that Bayern Munich’s Daniel van Buyten has pine kennel teeth, and shortly after this picture was taken he chewed right through the bone and swallowed it.
After yet another underwhelming performance (a draw with FC Köln helped them to 274 minutes without a goal and eighth place in the table), Die Roten’s stars ‘lederhosened up’ to celebrate the final day of Oktoberfest on Sunday.
Check out more pictures here.

WAG of the Day
One half of Germany’s answer to Paris and Nicole

Much like Juande Ramos and the stench of failure, German WAGs and ’scoiety ladies’ Katja Zickler and Cora Schumacher have been inseparable of late. Katja (the brunette on the left) is a former ‘Miss Bikini’ and current wife of FC Salzburg’s Alexander Zickler, and Cora (voluptuous blonde on the right) is the better half of too-rubbish-to-get-a-contract-this-year F1 driver Ralf Schumacher.
The pair have been snapped out and about by the German press recently, most notably at Oktoberfest and at the opening of Austria’s answer to the Cricket fashion boutique, an emporium called ‘CoKa’.

BAYERN FANCY DRESS
Under-fire Bayern party Bavarian style

Jurgen Klinsmann’s long-awaited arrival at Bayern Munich has had about as much impact on the club as an inspirational Juande Ramos team-talk is having on Spurs at the minute. One point from three games is an awful start to Klinsmann’s reign at the champions, but there is no point crying over spilt lager. At least not when you could dress yourself up like a prize muppet and attend Oktoberfest. The Bayern boss does a mean impression of Roald Dahl’s The BFG.
It is an annual tradition for the Bayern squad to kit out in traditional Bavarian gear and attend Oktoberfest, Munich’s 16-day old school bender. I suppose the Liverpool Christmas party is about as close as the Premier League gets to this. More photos and after the jump.
