Greek Tragedy
… check out this puzzling red card from the Greek Super League
Just a few days after schooling Inter Milan at the San Siro, Panathinaikos faced FC Asteras Tripolis, a tiny side referred to as “Chelsea of Greece” and whose home ground has a capacity of 5,000. Panathinaikos were held to a disappointing draw, thanks to a 70th minute equaliser from midfielder Adrián Bastía.
Shortly after this strike, however, the man with the glorious ponytail executed a perfect tackle on a pitch invader. For his helpful intervention, he was rewarded with a red card.

Video of the Day
In Saturday’s fiercely-competitive Moscow derby between Spartak and Lokomotiv, a topless fan fancied a piece of the action. Spartak were 2-1 down at the time, and defender Radoslav Kováč decided to take the intruder out of play the only way he knew how.
For his assistance in removing the extra man from the field, Kováč received a yellow card. Frankly, he was lucky: a tackle from behind with no attempt to play the ball should really be a straight red.
