WAG of the Day
Poland, you’ve done it again…

If you thought Dorota Rabczewska was the only Polish WAG who has become intimate with the readers of Playboy magazine, then you were sorely mistaken. Meet Anna Przybylska, the actress and model whose long term partner is the equally unpronounceable Jarosław Bieniuk, currently playing in Greece with AC Omonia.

WAG of the Day
One of Poland’s greatest contributions to society

We must confess that we hardly ever listen to Polish pop music or browse the pages of the Polish version of Playboy Magazine. If we had, we would have been intimately familiar with model, singer and athlete Dorota Rabczewska, known in her home nation as Doda.
Thanks to a successful pop career and numerous reality TV show appearances, Doda was already famous in Poland when she married goalkeeper Radosław Majdan. She become infamous shortly after by posing in the buff for several magazines, including Heff’s aforementioned rag and another named CKM. While she continues in her commitment to nakedness to this day, she and Majdan have since parted ways.

Religious Conflict news
The Holy Goalie received his comeuppance, says Polish legend
We at The Spoiler were having trouble figuring out the reason for Artur Boruc’s massive howler against Northern Ireland at the weekend. Did he suffer a temporary rage blackout? Was he preoccupied by thoughts of T-shirts with hilariously offensive slogans on them?
Apparently not. This morning, legendary keeper and controversial pundit Jan Tomaszewski has cleared things up. The Pole - who was dubbed “The Man That Stopped England” after an outstanding performance in a World Cup qualifier in 1974 - says Boruc’s blunder was “a punishment from God”:
“Artur has no one to blame but himself. You could say he has had a punishment from God.
“He started a religious war in Glasgow and now it’s come back to haunt him. That is why he was under so much pressure in Belfast - as he is hated by most of the Protestant community.”

World Cup Qualifier Fail
Polish keeper gifts a win to Northern Ireland
Nigel Worthington’s Northern Ireland went a point clear at the top of Group Three this weekend, thanks to a 61st minute error from Celtic keeper Artur Boruc.
The inexplicably angry Pole, who loves nothing more than winding up Rangers fans, was on the receiving end of laughter rather than venemous insults, as a result of his utter failure to clear Michal Zewlakow’s back-pass.

Fightin' Round the World
Lost a game? Why not kick someone in the head?
Usually we have to turn our attention to South America to see a good old fashioned brawl on the terraces (evidence here, here, here and here), but last weekend Europe was treated to a terrifying portion of fan violence.
In a Polish First Division match (their equivalent of the Championship), high-flying Flota Swinoujscie completely drank visiting side Wisla Plock’s milkshake, dishing out a 4-1 demolition. Finding no better way to console themselves than to commit random acts of violence, the visitors proceeded to break down a fence and deliver a beat down to the home fans.
The result? Twenty-seven arrests and a European community of football fans looking forward to a warm welcome when they arrive for Euro 2012.

Did we score?
Sometimes it really is better watching it at home

Tottenham fans have seen little pleasing to the eye watching their side in recent weeks, so the good people of Wisla Krakow have come up with a kind way of masking their sensitive retinas from another horror show when they head to Poland next Thursday - a massive fence!
For all those making the trip, this is the gorgeous sunset view you can expect to enjoy from the away end. Enjoy the match.
