Jose Mourinho’s new Italian home has a helipad

The Special One purchases a fittingly special property

Jose Mourinho

Just uner four weeks ago, Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho purchased a beautiful property in the picturesque Portuguese town of Setubal (pictured above). This sprawling villa is simply lovely, but its location some 2,100km away from the new office makes it a tad inconvenient. Hence, the Special One has splashed out on a new pad on the edge of Laka Como, about 50km north of Milan.

In addition to stunning views, the new place has a swimming pool, tennis courts, marble floors and carefully selected antique furniture for his beloved pooch Gullit to make a mess of. The mansion also has a helipad, meaning trips into Milan that would take an hour or so by road can be completed in minutes.

The property was previously owned by Italian multi-millionaire industrialist Antonio Ratti, who died in 2002.

As soon as we find pictures of Jose’e new crib, we’ll let you know.

Vote: Who should be Chelsea’s new manager?

Wave bye-bye to Avram, everyone

Avram Grant

Things aren’t going so well for Mr Expressionless. Chelsea fans are pining for The Special One while watching underwhelming performances, while Grant’s fellow countryman Tal Ben Haim has lashed out at him in today’s press. With all the negativity at the club at the moment, is it any wonder that David Villa is now setting his sights on Arsenal instead?

So it seems that Avram Grant will be looking for a new job in May (if not sooner), and the current favourite to take his place is Guus Hiddink. After Chelsea’s embarrassing loss to Barnsley last month, Spoiler readers said they favoured the Dutchman, but do you all feel the same now? Votes and comments below, please.
