Brazilian star picks the wrong moment for animated gestures

After an eleven year relationship, Robinho finally married his sweetheart Vivian Guglielmetti Junits in Guarujá, Brazil yesterday. Guests, who included Kaka, were asked to donate to charity instead of bringing the couple a gift they obviously don’t need.

Instead of acquiescing to the formal tone of the occasion, the Manchester City star chose to pull one of his trademark open-mouthed-moron grins, which he effortlessly combined with a Bill & Ted-style hand gesture. Very bodacious stuff, Robinho. The missus must have been very impressed.

Now then, who wants to see Vivian as the next WAG of the Day? Anybody? Hello?

The lovely lady who is to become Mrs Xabi Alonso

Liverpool midfielder and Jason Bateman-alike Xabi Alonso has been romancing Spanish actress Nagore Aranburu for bloody ages, and they will finally tie the knot next Saturday in the beautiful Basque province of Guipúzcoa. Despite living in un-wedded bliss for many years, the bride will wear white, which also happens to be the colour that Xabi could be wearing next season.

The newlywed who could become a newlydivorced very soon

Late last year, Sunderland striker Rocky Michael Chopra (yes, that is his first name) announced that he had become engaged to girlfriend Heather Swan. Their relationship was cemented by the birth of their first son Sebastian Rocco Thomas Chopra in February of this year, and they enjoyed a lavish £250,000 wedding ceremony last month.

Instead of heading off on their Barbados honeymoon to begin a life of wedded bliss, however, they publicly fought like cat and dog, and Chopra stormed home leaving Heather alone in paradise.
