A French model, actress and all-round classy lady

As the ladies at Kickette will testify, Bordeaux’s Yoann Gourcuff is a much sought-after target for potential WAGs. The midfielder appears to be off the market for the time being though, as he was spotted enjoying a fancy dinner with model and actress Marie Steiss-de Villepinin New York last week.

Marie isn’t exactly the type of girl to who would hang out with at Faces and then pose for Nuts after rooting a Spurs player: she is the daughter of former French PM Dominique de Villepin, she has a law degree and she has modelled for the likes of Givenchy.

Brazilian to complete move to Spain within a week…

Florentino Perez will be formally installed as Real Madrid president on Monday, and will start shaking things up almost immediately. According to Spanish paper AS, Madrid will replace Juande Ramos with Villarreal manager Manuel Pellegrini on Tuesday. Apparently, their interest in Arsene Wenger has waned as the brainy Frenchman has failed to make contact with them.

On the new player front, Spanish football radio show El Larguero (”The Crossbar”) have claimed that Kaka will be unveiled at the Bernebeu next Thursday, with Los Blancos paying AC Milan €65m for the privilege. The theory is supported by Milan vice president Adriano Galliani, who admitted Kaka will imminently depart

The Frenchman nearly joined Arsenal last summer in part exchange for Emmanuel Adebayor, but the AC Milan midfielder, currently on loan at Bordeaux, is now being linked with Liverpool and Bayern Munich. A fee of around £6.5m is being touted.

The Spoiler truth-o-meter: Despite his talent, Gourcuff clearly doesn’t fit in with Milan and their sign-them-when-they’re-past-it policy. A Premier League move would do him good.

The Mirror are reporting that Chelsea are considering a £30m swoop for the England winger, and that they could add another £14,000 to his £56,000 weekly wages. That could buy a lot of studded diamond earrings.
